All of the legacy diaper distributions in 2009 and the beginning of 2010 have been input to the database built for us at Ann Arbor Give Camp 2010, completing the data store for our first 20 months of operation and allowing some intial basic data compilation to begin. The pie charts below show the growth of DADB, both in number of diapers distributed and the number of counties we’re reaching into; it will be so interesting to watch these numbers grow and change over the years.
The 2009 graph below shows that from our very first diaper donation on April 27, 2009 through December 31st of that year, we distributed a total of 83,009 diapers. 73,866, or 89%, went to nonprofit charities and state agencies in Wayne County; 9,143, or 11%, went to organizations in Oakland County.
This 2010 chart shows the continuation of our growth and beginnings of expansion into other areas: of 243,543 total diapers distributed over the course of the full 12 months of 2010, 189,944, or 78%, of the diapers were distributed to Wayne County nonprofit partners. 30,284 (12%) went into Oakland County, 15,985 (7%) went into Washtenaw County, 4,003 (2%) went into Macomb, and 3,327 (1%) to Monroe County organizations.
Combined, we can see our total impact and reach from April 27, 2009 through December 31, 2010: 326,552 diapers distributed; 263,810 (81%) in Wayne County, 39,427 (12%) in Oakland County, 15,985 (5%) in Washtenaw County, 4,003 (1%) in Macomb County and 3,327 (1%) in Monroe County.
